Photography credits
Every photograph on this site falls into one of two groups, and this page keeps them apart. The first group we took ourselves. The second was made by other people and is used under Creative Commons. Each borrowed photograph also carries its photographer's name on the image itself, so the line is visible on the page as well as on this one.
Photographs we took
These need no attribution, because nobody else made them. They are listed anyway so that the boundary between our own work and borrowed work can be checked rather than taken on trust.

The three candidate photographs. Our buyer photographed them in Hunza on 19 September 2026 and sent them over the same day. They are pieces he is assessing. No mine and no village is named against them, because they were taken on the valley floor rather than at a working, and Hunza is as far as the evidence goes. What they are being looked at for.
The four stills of the workings. They are frames from four videos our buyer shot on his phone on 23 July 2026 and sent to us over WhatsApp. They carry no village name because he did not send one, and WhatsApp re-encodes a video on the way and strips the location metadata out of it, so the files cannot supply one either. The workings, so far.

All three files came from Wikimedia Commons. They show the Hunza and Nagar corridor our buyer works in.
Specimen photography is always our own. Every image of an actual mineral in a listing has to be a photograph of that exact piece, taken by us, dry, unretouched. We do not use stock photographs, catalogue images or other dealers' photographs to represent anything we sell. That is set out on the refusals page, along with our intention to replace the landscapes above with the operation's own photographs as they accumulate.
